July Photo Challenge Day 1 - Maple Leaf

In an effort to kick start this blog a little, and get me back in the habit of posting, I've decided to participate in the July Photo Challenge, inspired by my friend Pam.

I'm a little late in getting started so I'll have to post 2 today, but here's yesterday's photo of a maple leaf...

Yesterday we went to Shaun & Linsay's (Nathan's sister) for faspa and then stayed to watch the local fireworks.  This was the cake she made in honour and celebration of Canada Day. I've made this cake before (from Kraft magazine) - it's a fun, easy design, perfect for our "party".
