Andrea definitely highly recommended it and indicated that I would be a total doofus if I wanted to keep running and didn't get one. Ha ha, ok, maybe she didn't say doofus. But I know she loves hers!
So, Nathan picked one up for me el cheapo while he was down in the States this past weekend taking in his first live NFL game. Well, he didn't buy it at the game. You know what I mean! And el cheapo still isn't overly cheap, but I digress.
This bad-boy is currently being charged up as we speak (errr, as I type and you read), and I can't wait to try it out on my run tomorrow!
The streets I run on are still not listed on any maps (new development) and I often took paths between streets making it virtually impossible to figure out the distance I was running. No more!
Thanks to Andrea and the Garmin 305.

You are quite welcome. :)
I googled it after Andrea was talking about hers. Where did Nathan buy it? Looks like we are headed south for a hockey tournament in February, maybe I'll have to see if I can find one. I'm looking forward to your review of it.
He picked it up at Best Buy for $145, which I think is good (I think it was more there, but Nathan told them Amazon had it for that, and apparently Walmart had it on sale too or something, so they price matched it).
If you're heading to the States anyway and don't want to bother shopping around, you could order it from Amazon.com and get it shipped to a parcel pickup (Mike's Parcel Pick Up is a reputable one - we've used it a few times now). Costs $5, but Amazon ships free, so ends up being a good deal!
Ooooh, so jealous!!! This is going to be on my Christmas list for sure.
